Water & Fire Mitigation Estimator / Coordinator

Allied Restoration Company is seeking an experienced Mitigation Estimator and Project Coordinator to scope water and fire damage projects, produce Xactimate estimates, and coordinate with insurance adjusters throughout the claims process. This role sits at the intersection of field assessment and insurance documentation — ideal for someone with hands-on restoration experience who wants to move into a technical specialist role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site assessments of water and fire damage scope
- Produce accurate Xactimate estimates for mitigation and reconstruction
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, staff appraisers, and independent adjusters
- Coordinate project timelines between field crews and insurance approvals
- Document projects using Encircle and JobSight — photos, moisture logs, daily reports
- Negotiate supplemental claims and ensure full scope approval
- Support project managers on complex large-loss commercial projects
- Maintain job files and ensure documentation meets carrier requirements
Requirements
- 2+ years Xactimate estimating experience — Level 1 certification preferred
- Field experience in water damage or fire restoration
- Strong understanding of insurance claims process from mitigation through reconstruction
- Proficiency with Encircle, JobSight, or similar field documentation software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously
- IICRC WRT or FSRT certification preferred
- Valid California driver's license
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $70,000 – $90,000 depending on Xactimate experience
