Fire & Smoke Remediation Technician

💰 $22 – $32/hr + overtime
Allied Restoration Company is hiring Fire & Smoke Remediation Technicians. You will work on fire and smoke damage cleanup — removing soot and char, applying antimicrobial treatments, operating hydroxyl generators, and assisting with controlled demolition of fire-damaged materials. IICRC FSRT certification preferred; we will train and certify the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Remove soot and smoke residue using dry-cleaning sponges, HEPA vacuums, and chemical cleaners
- Operate dry-ice blasting equipment for structural soot removal
- Set up and monitor hydroxyl generators and thermal fogging equipment for odor neutralization
- Perform controlled demolition of fire-damaged drywall, flooring, and structural materials
- Install and maintain containment barriers and negative air pressure systems
- Document all work using Encircle mobile app
- Assist with pack-out and contents cleaning of fire-damaged personal property
- Participate in on-call emergency rotation
Requirements
- IICRC FSRT certification preferred — we will train the right candidate
- Physical ability including lifting 75+ lbs and working in tight spaces
- Valid California driver's license
- Available for emergency on-call including evenings and weekends
- Background check and drug screening required
Compensation & Benefits
- $22 – $32/hr depending on certifications and experience
- Overtime pay on large-loss projects
